This seminar will explore counterfeit drugs, medications from alternative sources, and increasing pressures from physicians and patients to use medications that patients bring from home. This seminar will use active learning techniques to explore how these challenges and the new accreditation standards for medication reconciliation will drive pharmacies to seek solutions that reduce the risk of medication errors, improve patient safety, assure the integrity of the medications that your patients take, and support compliance with national standards. John M. Kessler, B.S. Pharm, PharmD, will be one of the key-note speakers. John has more than 30 years experience in pharmacy, and has a special interest in medication safety and has more than 20 years experience in medication systems design, adverse drug event reporting and errors analysis.
