Vienna, VA (PRWEB) April 16, 2011
Valhalla Partners today noted with pleasure that CFOs of two of its portfolio companies – Robert Aldrich of Parature and Michael Woosley of TidalTV – were among five finalists for the annual NVTC "CFO of the Year" award, in the "Emerging Growth CFO of the Year" category. Winners will be announced at the NVTC awards banquet on June 1 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
"We're always pleased when our CFOs are recognized in a competition like this," said Valhalla Administrative General Partner Harry D'Andrea, himself an experienced CFO in multiple public and private companies. "What makes this award powerful is that the finalists and winners are picked by a jury of their peers. When another CFO gives you recognition, it's a good indication your work is solid."
Aldrich has worked at Parature in Vienna, VA since 2007, seeing the company through a period of substantial growth. Prior to joining Parature, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Q.Know Technologies, Inc.; as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NFR Security; as Vice President for Financial Operations at Best Software, Inc.; and as Controller and Associate Director of Finance for IGEN, Inc.
Woosley has been the CFO of two Valhalla portfolio companies – Baltimore-based TidalTV and BDMetrics (whose name changed in December 2009 to Three Stage Media) – and was the CFO of local startup success story Advertising.com, where he worked with TidalTV founder Scott Ferber.
