Spling.com officially launched to the public on Thursday, April 7 and has generated unprecedented traffic during its official launch weekend. Eliminating trivial status updates, Spling.com gathers, sorts, and creates a compilation of media from across the internet in a social atmosphere. In its first four days, Spling.com generated nearly a million hits, with over 5,000 unique visitors and over 125,000 page views, making it one of the fastest growing social media sites ever to launch.

The founders of Spling.com recently won the 2011 Venture Plan Competition sponsored by the Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone, Bucknell University, Bloomsburg University, and Susequehanna University.
