“iXLink® is creating complete inter-carrier transparency reducing the number of errors preventing carriers from leveraging the best rates and eliminating billing disputes reducing the cost of operations," said Glen Kazerman, CEO.

iXLink®, the business information exchange platform developed to automate the exchange of business transactions, today announced that the number of trading “links” or pricing relationships that have been established through the platform has topped 6,000. The rapid increase in the use of the innovative platform by telecommunications company’s worldwide offers fresh evidence that iXLink® is playing a critical and instrumental role in network automation and modernization.

The soaring number of trading links, which has more than doubled since August, 2010, follows on the heels of the company’s announcement in November, 2010 that the iXLink® platform was facilitating more than 10 million business transactions per month on behalf of telecommunications carriers.

“The number of new inter-carrier links being established demonstrates that iXLink® has become an embedded platform as well as an embedded solution carriers now rely upon for automating network operations systems and back office functions,” said Glen Kazerman, CEO. “The benefits of automation are enormous,” he said, “and enable companies to conduct business and weigh pricing offers instantly to maximize profitability.”

Majority of Telecoms Use iXLink®, Creating ‘Network Effect’

The migration of the world’s telecoms to the iXLink® platform is increasing steadily, along with the demand for additional products and services.

More than 1,500 carriers from over 100 countries -- up from 1,200 just a few months ago -- rely on such iXLink® services as Price List Receipt, which enables carriers to electronically send and receive price lists from one another, eliminating costly manual efforts and legal risks in managing pricing offers and orders.

A majority of the largest telecoms in the world also rely on iXLink® for automating and real-time management of everything from least-cost routing and price list validation to near instant synchronization of the buying and selling process. Up until the time iXLink® commenced service, it was estimated that the telecommunications industry was spending in excess of US $1 billion to manage inter-carrier buy and sell activities. Deutsche Telekom, TeliaSonera and Verizon Business are among the founding members of iXLink®.

The number of carriers registering to use iXLink® is nearing 50% of the market, a key milestone that is driving more and more providers to the platform. “As a result,” said Kazerman, “iXLink® is creating complete inter-carrier transparency reducing the number of errors preventing carriers from leveraging the best rates and eliminating billing disputes reducing the cost of operations, this is done by providing the best-in-class interoperability for carriers.”

New iXLink Services Also Fueling Growth

Innovative software modules like Price List Receipt with Dial Code Mapping have also been developed by iXLink® in response to carrier demand. The service vastly simplifies a carrier’s ability to automate purchasing processes and take advantage of Telarix’s best-in-class dial code functionality to instantly analyze partner offers and eliminate financial risks involved with dial code discrepancies.

The company also provides Price List Distribution software, which enables carriers to manage the distribution of international hubbing and refile price lists by applying customized formatting and ensuring the automatic distribution of the price lists in XLS or CSV formats via email.

The company also plans to announce an industry-wide electronic invoice exchange service, which will be the first product to address invoice verification, reconciliation and dispute management, in the near future.
