KaDonk, Inc. announced today the world’s first project viewer for Microsoft Project files, available on the iPhone and iPad. This revolutionary application allows users to open and view Microsoft Project files that were sent via e-mails or stored directly on the KaDonk servers. Critical projects can now be viewed while roaming or by team members in the field directly from their mobile devices. The applications include task lists where users can see assignments, progress and all other data columns, as well as an easy drill-down interface allowing users to quickly find the information they need. Existing users of KaDonk’s project collaboration suites get access to the project they have stored online.
"As an early adopter of the iPhone and iPad, I have been challenged to find an easy-to-use application to support my project files," Chandra Kholia, vice president of xAD said, "now, I can open and view my Microsoft Project files at a touch of a button, showing me the latest process and tasks."
“Up until now, there simply was no way for users to view Microsoft Project files on iPhone or iPad devices,” Jari Niskala, CEO and Co-founder of KaDonk said, “and we saw that as a great problem for many of our existing customers. We decided to leverage our award winning product, LiveProject, and create an application for these mobile devices so project managers and teams out in the field have a way to stay updated. There is nothing more frustrating than receiving an e-mail with a project update and being unable to view it. For users that already subscribe to our Team or Collaboration accounts, iLiveProject application provides even further benefits because the project files are always stored on our servers. At any time, any team member can now get access to the latest critical project information.”
iLiveProject iPhone and iPad lets users open Microsoft Project files they receive in their e-mails, directly on their iPhone provided they are connected to the internet. Tasks are color coded to be easily readable, and the applications allow users to drill-down into the project structure with ease whether it be viewing task/resource sheets, task/resource details or even filtering to see tasks listed by resource. iLiveProject goes beyond just copying the desktop experience to provide a user experience tailored for these devices.
iLiveProject for iPhone and iPad is available now for download.
