Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc., specialists in document imaging, conversion, distribution and preservation, introduces the new Wicks and Wilson C-400 Aperture Card Scanstation to the North American market. The C-400 is a quick, compact, affordable scanner for converting technical documents traditionally stored on microfilm aperture cards to digital images for viewing, emailing, or printing.

Tameran’s relationship with Wicks and Wilson has continued for nearly 20 years, and we are once again pleased to add to our product line. The C-400 combines production-type speed, functionality and image clarity in a compact, portable device.

Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc., exclusive North American distributor for Wicks and Wilson Limited aperture card scanners, announces the addition of the C-400 Aperture Card Scanner. The C-400 is a compact scanner that converts technical documents traditionally stored on 35mm microfilm aperture cards to digital images that can be instantly viewed, emailed, printed or stored in a document management system.

The C-400 automatically feeds and scans up to 150 aperture cards at a time at an average of 385 cards per hour at 200 dpi or 300 cards per hour at 400 dpi. The C-400 simplifies the conversion process with several features including the largest available screen image view, ability to save as bitonal and grayscale imaging at the same time, unattended batch processing, integrated hollerith punch reader and virtual rescan for automatic reprocessing of scanned images without the need to physically rescan the card. It also includes sophisticated yet easy-to-use image enhancement tools and database storage of all hollerith files for further processing. The C-400 is the first Wicks and Wilson aperture card scanner to be compatible with Windows® 7 Professional (32 bit or 64 bit).

“Tameran’s relationship with Wicks and Wilson has continued for nearly 20 years, and we are once again pleased to add to our product line. Wicks and Wilson aperture card scanners produce the highest quality digitization of microfilm aperture cards than any other scanners on the market and the C-400 is no exception. The C-400 combines production-type speed, functionality and image clarity in a compact, portable device,” said Mark Wise, President of Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc.

Organizations who desire an affordable scanner that combines performance and image quality with a surprisingly small footprint and user-friendly interface should contact Tameran for more information or a demonstration of the C-400. Other Wicks and Wilson aperture card scanners sold by Tameran include the C-Drive X single card scanner for lower volume or single scan markets and the CS750 for high volume production scanning.
