In celebration of Earth Day, Central Restaurant Products wants to help make sure restaurants have full access to the information and tools it takes to take a step becoming more eco-friendly. Central encourages all restaurants to make an effort to learn about the environment around them and discover ways that they can individually make a big difference. Starting April 22, Central will have a whitepaper available that includes a plethora of tips, tricks and products to begin (or continue) the journey towards being environmentally friendly.

In support of Earth Day, Central Restaurant Products has issued a whitepaper to help restaurants become more environmentally friendly. Entitled "How to Make Your Restaurant Environmentally Friendly", this whitepaper is aimed at providing guidance on ecological issues like:

  •     Making the most of recyclables
  •     Decreasing the use of water and energy
  •     Using electronic ordering to reduce paper waste
  •     Serving local, organic and sustainable food

Earth Day started 41 years ago on Apr. 22, 1970 with the purpose to raise awareness about gasoline usage, the output of pollution from factories, and conservation.
