Naperville Bites and Sites debuts an original, one-of-a-kind Naperville restaurant food tasting and historical experience.
Mike Wyrostek, longtime Naperville resident and Founder of Naperville Bites and Sites says, “We sampled the perfect potato soup, tasted creamy cookie dough and sipped delicious teas and cocoas when putting this food tour together. In between bites, we discovered Naperville’s quirky and delicious food traditions.”
A Tour of Discovery
In addition, the visits to Naperville restaurants turned out to be much more than just food tastings. They turned into a tour of discovery that ended up providing a special ambiance to the delightful bites.
For example, on the refreshing walking tour, customers will discover:
- A family owned 100 year old deli and meat market
- Who made the ‘Davenport’ and where it was created
- What is a Snugg?
- What fast food and the multi-mixer have in common
- Fascinating facts on the rich history of Naperville, founded in 1831!
Just 25 miles west of Chicago, Naperville and the Riverwalk (noted as one of the most picturesque sights in the Midwest), share the same culinary pioneering spirit. Naperville Bites and Sites rates as an especially perfect experience for those seeking vacation ideas and different things to do.
“Naperville Bites and Sites is the first tour of its kind to come to Naperville. It was started to help visitors and local residents enjoy the ultimate Naperville food and cultural experience—off of the beaten path. We want to be the thing to do in Naperville,” says Wyrostek.
The customers sample diverse and interesting foods from at least six Naperville restaurants. The eateries offer generous taste-size portions of foods and beverages ranging from cookie dough to chocolate creations. Of course, there is a stop for a piece of that unique Chicago pizza!
