Conestoga Bank Launches Anywhere Deposit Mobile App for Consumers and Business

Conestoga Bank, a full-service community bank, is one of the first in the country to offer mobile deposit to its customers. With mobile deposit both consumers and small businesses can deposit checks with their iPhone (r) or Blackberry (r).

Conestoga Bank, a full-service community bank with branches throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, announced that it now offers its customers the ability to deposit checks remotely from their smartphones. The service is available to consumers and small businesses.

Conestoga Anywhere Deposit provides all the convenience of depositing checks from anywhere with the safety and security of in-branch or ATM deposits. Mobile deposit will be integrated closely with Conestoga’s other mobile banking solutions rolling out later this year.

After registering online, Conestoga Bank customers can photograph a check and submit it via the free app downloaded to their mobile device. For security purposes, no images or data are stored on the customer’s phone, there is a complete audit trail for every deposit, and all images are sent using 128-bit encryption. Currently, iPhone and BlackBerry devices are supported, with Android-based devices being added shortly.

Mobile check deposit is an ideal solution for both individuals and small businesses and is especially convenient for banking customers that travel frequently or do not live or work near a branch. Small businesses with field employees that take checks from customers can now allow those employees to instantly deposit those customer payments without giving them open access to the account.
