Newly released Bankserv (South Africa) DFS drivers expand automated testing solutions available from Ascert.

The support of Bankserv within DFS allows our South African customers extremely high levels of testing automation in a fast and efficient manner.

Ascert releases their Bankserv drivers in updated Driver Framework Standard (DFS) form for use in VersaTest Automator. "We have been supporting the South African Bankserv interchange standards for many years for our customers in the country, and this update to provide support of the DFS standard will allow existing and new customers to move to the latest VersaTest Automator technology using supported DFS library drivers," said Mike Wainwright, Ascert's Business Development Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. "The support of Bankserv within DFS allows our South African customers extremely high levels of testing automation in a fast and efficient manner."

The Bankserv drivers utilize Ascert's Driver Framework Standards (DFS) which enables efficient sharing of common functions, cross functional testing across multiple test environments, and many automation features that significantly streamline the testing process. "The Bankserv Drivers support SASWITCH, for South African Bank cards acquired at domestic ATMs, and Credit / Debit for South African Bank cards acquired at domestic POS, switched through Bankserv," said Wainwright. "Since these are supported drivers within the DFS library, customers taking them will benefit from having new mandates applied to the driver under maintenance and have these made available for download through the VersaTest Automator GUI."

VersaTest Automator clients using Ascert's DFS drivers have reported savings of 50% and higher in existing testing runs thereby enabling test personnel to increase overall test coverage within the organization and bring their tested products to market sooner.
