Six Red Marbles is expanding its instructional design and editorial leadership in the early childhood through higher ed education space with the announcement of its new Director, Bonnie Dobkin. Based in Chicago, IL, Dobkin showcases full-service program conceptualization skills, digital/print development mastery and successful offshore team management strategies.

"Our education partners are looking for new ideas, fresh thinking and top notch leadership to help students achieve their potential and teachers to better face today's challenges. Bonnie's creativity, proven talent in superior product delivery and outreach into education channels beyond traditional el-hi publishing complement Six Red Marbles' distinctive emphasis on effective learning principles and unique R&D approach. In the complicated world of education, we can't forget it's about the kids--Bonnie keeps that front and center," said Jacques Driscoll, CEO.

"Bonnie is joining an already established team of Marbles who think differently about education. Publishers have increasingly complex pressures--both conceptually and logistically--and Bonnie's passion, drive, and energy are infectious. She makes developing large-scale quality programs fun and easy!" said Marie Brown, President and Chief Academic Officer.

Dobkin is coming to Six Red Marbles with a dual background in both worlds--established publishing houses as well as dynamic development groups. As V.P., Editorial Director at McDougal Littell, Dobkin directed grade 6-12 language arts programs that successfully won large adoption states, including 70% of Texas. She independently consulted with publishing giants such as Scholastic and National Geographic and she most recently led India-based company Q2A Media's editorial division. Her career in publishing has run the gamut of all disciplines and all grade levels. Dobkin is also an author of children's books and singer/musical director who occasionally hits the stage herself.

Six Red Marbles is an award-winning provider of educational solutions for the early childhood through higher education market. With roots dating back more than 90 years, the company has developed thousands of creative, effective multi-media educational materials for leading publishers including McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Pearson. Its programs have won awards from the Software & Information Industry Association, Technology & Learning Magazine, and the Association of Educational Publishers.

In 2010, the company released its own learning programs based on its Natural Learning Approach™, which uniquely integrates the latest neuroscientific research on learning, Tribal Pedagogy, and interactive online delivery. The approach—which is sensitive to why we learn, what we learn, when we learn, how we learn, and where we learn—creates fun learning environments that inspire kids and put them on personal paths to success.
