Indiana Health Centers (IHC) is pleased to announce the launch of their new website, The site is designed to act as a conduit, reporting IHC’s work while informing and facilitating dialog with local health care and community leaders. It will facilitate information flow and increase efficiency and communication between the representatives of IHC and their communities, as well as building awareness of IHC’s great work in communities all over Indiana.

Indiana Health Centers, began serving Indiana Communities in 1977 — providing primary care health services for the local community, area migrant workers and the homeless. IHC is fully funded through a variety of private and public grants — most recently a $1.3 million designation as part the Federal Stimulus Bill. IHC hosts the second largest Women Infants Children (WIC) program in the state, and is widely known for serving the area’s migrant worker population. IHC has a strong focus on improving health outcomes for it’s target populations, through recognizing and addressing local health and health-related issues. IHC see’s patients regardless of their ability to pay, charging fees on a sliding scale.

The new website will help policy makers, physicians, health care professionals, and donors understand the issues surrounding the realities and possibilities of providing health care for the extremely impoverished. The website will help motivate visitors to become agents for change. Additionally, the new website will provide a valuable resource for individuals and families seeking information about affordable health care and dental care options and IHC clinic health services.
