Dorset Insight is a brand new holistic lifestyle magazine for the county of Dorset in the UK. Dorset Insight Magazine has an alternative and complementary theme, for those interested in a holistic approach to daily life. It is written in a very practical and down to earth manner and will appeal to those already interested in holistic therapies and alternative medicine as well as those new to the subject. The aim of the magazine is to inform and stimulate interest in the holistic field, whilst understanding and appreciating all that the modern world has to offer.

Dorset Insight offers insight and inspiration to its readers, both offline and online. It is a monthly publication and is currently available free of charge. It offers insight and inspiration on a wide range of every day topics and concerns, from a holistic perspective. Various alternative and complementary therapies are highlighted and explained.

Editor, Davina Skinner says:
"I don't believe we have to be either conventional or alternative - we can each of us find a mix, a balance that suits us, our friends and our families - enjoying the best of both worlds. We want to highlight all sorts of aspects, not just therapies but ideas and different ways of thinking."

Each month articles from the diverse mind, body, spirit arena are interesting and well written, from meditation to coping with stress and finding positive triggers to feel happy more often. The book review section reviews holistic and spiritual books and is highly informative. A popular feature is the out and about section. This presents an interesting destination for locals and visitors to get outdoors and enjoy a walk, either to a place of historic or symbolic interest.

As it is also available online, some of the articles have additional video clips and audio files available to download. The meditation to find peace and strength within was documented in the offline magazine and the online version offered the video so people could more easily follow the instructions.

Davina comments: "The way the magazine merges the traditional concept of the magazine with the modern internet version and all the possibilities that brings is very similar to the whole idea behind the magazine. To merge traditional concepts and practices with our modern world and the way we live today. Integrating the two together in a way that suits the lifestyle we choose to live."
