The new service is an improvement upon the current program and will deliver benefits to employees, their families and employers across South Monterey County.

WorkWell Medical Group (WorkWell), a leading provider of Occupational Medicine services across greater Monterey County and Mee Memorial Hospital (MMH) announce that they have entered into a partnership to provide Employee Health and Occupational Medicine services effective May 9, 2011.

Currently, MMH has a limited amount of space that is being used as their Employee Health/Occupational Medicine clinic at 300 Canal Street. After looking at the current program in place, MMH decided that they needed to upgrade the service in multiple ways in order to meet their own employee needs as well as those of the local community.

Therefore MMH started looking for an alternate provider for these services. After looking across the County and evaluating various options, the management team and the board of trustees at MMH selected WorkWell Medical Group to be their new provider for Employee Health and Occupational Medicine. In keeping with the upgrade, MMH and WorkWell also agreed that a larger and more convenient location would be needed.

MMH and WorkWell are pleased to announce that the new clinic is going to be located at 809 Broadway Street in Suite# 1. This new clinic is a full-service, walk-in medical clinic offering occupational medicine services. The medical clinic integrates the full spectrum of occupational medicine, including injury and illness diagnosis and treatment, preventive services, pre-placement and post-offer exams, and return-to-work programs. This new location will provide the basis for better care, easier access as well as a number of additional services to the employees of MMH as well as the employees and their families of the other businesses located in South Monterey County.

With their focus on communication with the employer, employee and insurer, and their experience with utilizing appropriate guidelines, WorkWell has delivered significant savings and improved patient satisfaction for their clients.
