Mosaica promotes John Q. Porter to President of Mosaica Turnaround Partners, a division of Mosaica Education. John Porter will be responsible for the continued growth of Mosaica Turnaround Partners.

Mosaica Education, Inc., a pioneer in education reform, management services for new and turnarounds schools, and professional development for school leaders and teachers worldwide, today announced that it has promoted John Q. Porter to President of its Mosaica Turnaround Partners division.

In his new position, Porter will be responsible for the continued growth of Mosaica Turnaround Partners. Today, the division is working with urban school districts nationwide, including Detroit, Philadelphia and Youngstown, OH. It has also been selected as an approved vendor by 13 different state departments of education across the U.S. As Division President, Mr. Porter is tasked with improving the learning experiences and academic achievement at under-performing schools nationwide by providing whole school management services and job-embedded professional development for teachers and administrators.

Prior to this latest appointment, Porter served as Chief Operating Officer of Mosaica Turnaround Partners, former superintendent of Oklahoma City Public Schools, and Deputy Superintendent and Chief Information Officer for the Montgomery County Public Schools system in Maryland. Mr. Porter is a graduate of the Broad Academy for Superintendents, holds a certificate from the Public Education Leadership Program at Harvard University (Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education), and a Juris Doctorate from Ohio State University.
