The casino that gave 13 of the Chilean miners a chance to gamble, gave away a free trip to outer space, a real oil well, and served gourmet dinners on a platform hanging hundreds of feet in the sky, is now offering $1 million to a lucky player if Prince William gets cold feet on his wedding day.

“We don’t know what the odds are because we can’t read his mind, but many a good man has turned and run the other way at the last minute,” said a smiling Steve Bonner, general manager of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.

Bonner has earned a reputation in the casino industry for his crazy, attention-grabbing ideas. And he’s never squelched on a bet.

Players need to simply swipe their Seminole Players Club card in one of the casino’s special swipe kiosks on Thursday, April 28, starting at 8 a.m. through 9:45 a.m. Friday, April 29. At 10 a.m. one lucky name will be chosen to take home $1 million if the Prince decides not to make that long walk to the altar.

And what are they calling this promotion? The “Left at the Royal Altar Million Dollar Giveaway,” of course.

Even if the noble Prince decides to show up and go through the entire six-hour ceremony, Bonner said the casino will still give away $10,000 in cash to one lucky winner at the stroke of 10 a.m.
