Ferndale, WA (PRWEB) April 29, 2011
Want a chance to win a $20,000 scholarship annuity and a Wii game system? Then you have until June 1, 2011 to name the CareFRESH guinea pig.
With permission from their parents, kids can visit http://www.carefresh.com/scholarship to enter the contest and suggest a name.
CareFRESH, a leading brand of food and habitat products for small pets, will select five finalists and put them to a vote on its Web site. All finalists will receive a Wii game system. The winning name also earns a $20,000 scholarship annuity.
“This is a great chance for kids to use their creativity and give our guinea pig a cool name,” said Tom Pletcher, Director of Marketing. “Plus, the contest helps kids become responsible pet owners.”
The scholarship contest is part of CareFRESH Critter College, a free lesson kit for grades 4-7 that teaches kids how to safely care for small pets like guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils and hamsters.
To enter the scholarship contest, kids must pass a quick quiz on the proper care and feeding of small pets. The answers can be found in the Critter College curriculum or on the CareFRESH Web site, http://www.carefresh.com/caring.
The contest is open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are between the ages of five and 15 by May 24, 2010.
The CareFRESH brand, which includes CareFRESH small animal bedding and CareFRESH Complete foods, is part of Absorption Corp., which also develops, manufactures and markets proprietary, cost-effective absorbent products for oil and hazardous spill cleanup and other purposes.
