We hope the AfterBite photo contest motivates parents to get their families active in the outdoors this summer, while also making them mindful of outdoor safety when it comes to treating insect bites and stings

Tender Corp., maker of the #1 selling insect bite and sting remedy, AfterBite® -- The Itch Eraser®, today announced the launch of the ‘Erase the Itch’ Photo Contest.

Designed to get families into the outdoors and enjoying an active lifestyle this spring and summer, the ‘Erase the Itch’ photo contest offers the grand prize of a free vacation for four in New Hampshire’s White Mountains Region.

To enter the ‘Erase the Itch’ contest*, consumers need to upload a photo that captures their favorite moment in the outdoors to http://www.afterbitecontest.com. On the same site, people will be encouraged to vote on which photos they like the most. The winners will be decided by the photos that receive the most positive votes.

“With finding time to get outside and exercise being a priority for many Americans, it's our hope that the AfterBite Photo Contest will help further motivate parents to get their families active in the outdoors this summer, while also making them mindful about outdoor safety when it comes to treating insect bites and stings," said Tender Brand Manager Dave Anderson.

The grand prize for the ‘Erase the Itch’ contest will award free lodging for five nights for four in New Hampshire’s picturesque White Mountains region, one of the country’s premiere vacation spots, which Tender is offering through a special partnership with the White Mountains Attractions Association. There are also 50 secondary prizes up for grabs, including essential outdoor gear items from partners Eastern Mountain Sports® and Tender’s sister company Adventure® Medical Kits, as well as free passes to various White Mountains-area attractions. Other key partners -- the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development and the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport -- have also climbed on board to help promote the contest through their network channels.

“The New Hampshire Division of Economic Development is extremely excited to be part of the AfterBite contest,” said New Hampshire Division of Economic Development Interim Director Roy Duddy. “We fully support the initiative’s goal of encouraging families to get active in the outdoors and recognize how important it is to support great local businesses like Tender Corp. that are innovating and growing in the Granite State.”

An essential fixture of the backyard, campsite and hiking trail, Tender's AfterBite® family of products includes a range of treatments designed to erase the itching and pain that accompanies insect bites and stings. All AfterBite® products contain special ingredients that directly attack the bite or sting area, providing sustained relief from itching and swelling while simultaneously moisturizing the skin and preventing infection. Along with the original all-purpose AfterBite®, Tender offers AfterBite® Kids -- a cream formula consisting of baking soda, tea tree oil and aloe vera that provides gentle sting-free relief from the pain and swelling caused by insect bites. For adults, there's AfterBite® Outdoor. A powerful yet soothing gel formula containing baking soda, ammonia and tea tree oil, Outdoor is the go-to choice for remedying the most aggressive bites and stings. AfterBite® products are available nationally through Eastern Mountain Sports®, Target, Wal-Mart, and Rite Aid, among other leading food, drug, mass and sporting good retailers.

Tender Corp. will announce the winners to the ‘Erase the Itch’ contest when the promotion concludes on August 24th. Full contest details can be obtained from http://www.afterbitecontest.com.

*Contest is available to U.S. residents only.
