Sports Travel and Tours Helps a Baseball Fan Realize his Dream of Traveling Every Baseball Stadium

When Dave Baker retired from his career of 40 years as an educator and administrator in June 2010, he decided it was time. Time to fulfill his lifelong dream of visiting every Major League ballpark. With the help of travel experts at Sports Travel and Tours, a schedule was devised and on Friday, May 6, 2011, Dave will embark upon a 43 day cross-country journey that will realize this dream.

Dave Baker will be traveling with his wife Dottie for portions of the program - with various friends and family joining him for games along the way. A retired life long educator, Dave is a loyal Los Angeles Dodgers fan, naming Matt Kemp and Mike Piazza among his favorite players. His 3 children, 6 grand children, friends, baseball fans and fellow "STAT Baseball Stadium Hall of Famers" will be following his journey at blog.sportstravelandtours.com and at Facebook.com/SportsTravelInc.

Dave will be traveling via a combination of self-guided independent travel and hopping aboard some group Baseball Road Trips, run by Sports Travel and Tours. After completion of the trip, Dave will be invited to join the other members of the STAT Baseball Stadium Hall of Fame and have his name recorded in the archive that resides at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Sports Travel and Tours travelers receive a custom Passport to Baseball and a "stamp" for each ballpark visited. Once a fan visits all 30 ballparks with us, they are inducted into the STAT Baseball Stadium Hall of Fame (ceremonies are usually at the Hall of Fame over Induction Weekend, approximately every four years).
