In their latest venture into server based OS adapters IdentityForge announced today that they now support Linux RedHat OS. IdentityForge is the leader in standard access integration into many different target systems, including ERP, OS, Mainframe, and application security managers.
The IdentityForge (IdF) Advanced Adapter functions as a trusted virtual administrator for Linux RedHat. This allows the manager to perform tasks such as creating IDs, adding authorized groups to IDs, and changing passwords. The Advanced Adapter allows the administrator to determine whether the Linux RedHat OS is used as managed (Target) resource or as an authorized (Trusted) source of user information for your application or Identity Infrastructure. The Linux Pioneer provisioning agent is an important factor in the IdF Advanced Adapter Series and the IdF LDAPv3 Gateway Server. This agent enables the Advanced Adapter the ability to provide a rich feature set for supporting provisioning and reconciliation.
“Providing standard integration into RedHat allows companies to remove another manual task and provides ease of integration into their current IDM processes,” said Chad Cromwell, CTO.
Among the key feature that can be expected when using IdentityForge Advanced Adapter for RedHat are ease of deployment, standard LDAPv3 integration interface and vendor agnostic. The software will provide deep integration, providing functionality like: Authentication, Group Membership Assignments, User Password Resets and many more.
Along with this release of the IdF RedHat Advanced Adapter, includes certified OOTB (out-of-the-box) vendor product editions for ease of integration. Certification from Microsoft’s FIM 2010 IdF RedHat MA, Oracle (OIM) RedHat Adapter, TheDotNetFactory EmpowerID, and Tivoli (iTIM) RedHat Adapter.
