The online course meets all our classroom teaching requirements [...] The animations, in particular, make this a great learning experience!
Salem, OR (Vocus/PRWEB) January 11, 2011
In Oregon Hunter Safety Education is required for anyone under the age of 18 to hunt on public land. Until recently, students were required to attend a 16-hour classroom course to gain certification. The new HunterCourse.com online hunting safety course allows students to study the bulk of material from home, and attend a single Field Day training session (led by a qualified instructor) in order to become certified.
The online course, developed by Fresh Air Educators, Inc and reviewed by the ODFW, features over 60 interactive animations, powered by HE Tools, leader in hunter education teaching tools. The course also includes a study guide that is fully narrated by a professional voice-over artist, as well as hundreds of illustrations which are designed to engage students in every area of the course. With this interactive and engaging model, it is expected that more students will choose this certification option over other methods.
James Reed, Hunter Education Coordinator with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife is enthusiastic about this launch. "We're eager to have students take this course and see how they respond in the subsequent Field Day activities," says Reed, "The online course meets all our classroom teaching requirements, and is presented in a student-friendly format. The animations, in particular, make this a great learning experience!"
The HunterCourse.com online hunting course is currently used in over 25 states with overwhelmingly positive results. "We commend the ODFW for adopting this program," says Kerry Moher, V.P. of Business Development with Fresh Air Educators, "In every state where we offer this online hunting course, students are found to do extremely well at the Field Day. The online course is fun and informative, and in the end over 98% of students would recommend the course to others who need certification."
The one-time student fee for the HunterCourse.com program is $24.95, which includes unlimited access to the study guide, all end-of-chapter quizzes, as well as the Field Day Voucher, which allows the student access to the Instructor-led ODFW Field Day.
HunterCourse.com also offers a number of additional learning tools including online shooting ranges, a treestand safety course, as well as hunting safety quizzes, available to anyone free of charge.
