C&S Technologies,, an IRS and State authorized payroll report efile provider, has released both online and Windows software solutions for California businesses to file payroll reports DE6, DE7, DE34 and DE542 to EDD electronically. PEOs, tax professionals of government agencies can use the service to manage multiple accounts and file reports in batches.

California employers are required to file DE34, DE6, DE7 and DE542 for new employees, wage report, annual reconciliation and contractors. While these reports were filed previously on paper or magnetic media of different formats (CD, tape, diskette, etc.), the California EDD is phasing out these inefficient methods and has established new online reporting methods based on the FSET (Federal/State Employee Tax) standard.

“To facilitate the migration by businesses to the new FSET filing, we have developed both online and Windows software for users to file these reports easily. eSmartPayroll is one of very few EDD authorized FSET service providers (” said C.C. Chen, President of C&S Technologies. “Ideally, clients don’t have to do anything different from before. Because we can take the data in ICESA, MMREF format or in Excel worksheet and convert it to the EDD required format and submit it online through the FSET system.”

“For companies that prefer complete privacy and security control, we have released a Windows software that transmits data directly from the user’s desktop to the EDD server” said C.C. Chen. “Just import your existing ICESA, MMREF data file into the Windows software and you can connect directly to the EDD servers and submit your payroll reports. The Windows efile software ensures complete privacy and encrypted security.”

Although C&S provides payroll services online users are not required to use its payroll service to efile through FSET. In additional to California payroll forms, C&S provides efile services for Federal form 941, 940, 944, W-2, W-2c, 1099-misc, corrections and other State forms. Users can choose any or all of the efile tools at their convenience.
Cost for the efile service is based on the number of forms. There is no account setup charge or subscription fee. Users can choose to use these or many other efile services (form 941, 940, W2, W-2c, 1099-misc and others) and pay only for what they use.
