InventHelp®, America’s largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Maryland, has designed a modified car seat to keep a child calm when traveling in a vehicle. This invention is patented.

“Baby Delight” car seat would feature a vibrating motor or a mechanical ball to produce vibrations or rock the seat back and forth. The design would soothe an infant into a restful state and help to eliminate the need for a parent or caregiver to rock or shake the car seat when driving to achieve the restful state. This feature could reduce the stress that is associated with traveling with an infant and provide a parent or caregiver with peace of mind when driving.

Baby Delight would consist of a unit similar in construction to a standard infant’s car seat. The seat would connect to a separate rectangular base. The child carrier would feature a handle for carrying purposes and a five-piece harness system to secure a child. The base would feature two raised, horizontal bars that could fit into recesses on the underside of an infant’s car seat. A vibrating motor would be connected to the rear of the car seat or built into the base itself, in between the raised bars. A speed adjuster to control the vibrating function would be located on the side of the base. Alternatively, instead of a vibrating motor, the system could feature a spherical ball that would be positioned in between the raised bars on the base. The ball could be controlled via a switch inside of the base and produce a rocking motion. Both the vibrating motor and rocking ball would be powered by a battery and car charger. Baby Delight could include musical features to entertain the child, such as ocean sounds, nature sounds, or play instruments or lullabies. Additionally, the invention could be produced as an expansion pack to fit existing infant car seats.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 08-BTM-415 at (800) 851-6030.
