Songmaster Acquires iVideosongs' Catalog and Rights

Florida education company, Songmaster, has acquired assets of iVideosongs.

Songmaster Studios has acquired assets of iVideosongs, the innovator of video lessons featuring Billboard hits. Sessions demonstrate how to play favorite platinum artists on guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, and piano.

Songmaster Studios Education LLC announced today the purchase of assets from iVideosongs, Inc., the Atlanta, GA-based creator of video music lessons that teach popular songs.

Songmaster, a new music education and entertainment studio in Jupiter, FL, acquired iVideosongs' video lessons and its usage rights and royalty agreements with dozens of artists, songwriters and publishers.

Songmaster now offers iVideosongs e-learning sessions through a variety of websites and partnerships, including Alfred Publishing, Amazon Video on Demand, Apple iTunes, and YouTube. Recently, Songmaster also was accepted into the Apple Developer Program for iOS, the platform behind iPhone and iPad software applications.

Songmaster continues to promote the iVideosongs trademark and distribute its video catalog, while developing new educational programs that incorporate iVideosongs lessons and other educational methods and materials.

The parties are each privately held; terms of the deal were not disclosed.
