The Story Home app was a challenging one as we wanted to make it magical for children.

Listening to stories can be magical for children. And with so many children using their parents’ iPhones, The Story Home knew it would be a smart idea to develop an application children could use to listen to stories on a mobile phone.

The Story Home turned to SocialJitney, leading developer of iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry applications, to create a mobile version of their audio stories service.

SocialJitney took up the challenge and successfully released an application in the Apple App Store. This app, available on both the iPhone and iPad, gives users access to 75 of the most popular audio stories by The Story Home, all certified by the American Library Association.

Features include three free stories, Weekly Top 10 (as ranked by users), Bookmarks, My Library and Shop for Stories. The most exciting feature of this app is ‘Shop for Stories,’ which alphabetically sorts the stories, as well as offers smart search.

“With all the iPhone hype, an increasing number of brands are bringing their own applications to the App Store,” says Imran Malik, Project Manager at SocialJitney, “The Story Home app was a challenging one as we wanted to make it magical for children. Our client loves the work we did.”
