Costa Mesa based Morgan Drexen launches Morgandrexen.org to reflect community events and local charity awareness.
“Being part of the community is crucial,” admits Morgan Drexen Chief Executive Officer Walter Ledda. “At Morgan Drexen we pride ourselves in working with the local community and giving back especially in these tough economic times,” adds Ledda.
Morgan Drexen uses automation and proprietary software to support law offices across America, “We decided to put our in-house team to work on a website dedicated solely to the charities we support. Many local and national charities have seen a decrease in contributions we hope this site will help to bring both awareness and extra fundraising for the organizations we support,” adds Ledda.
“Morgan Drexen’s decision to create a website dedicated to furthering their philanthropic work is exciting and a great example for other companies to follow. Our Foundation relies on the support of the community, and companies like Morgan Drexen, to accomplish our mission of granting every eligible child in Orange County and the Inland Empire their most heartfelt wish,” says Sarah Pizzaruso, Development Manager for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Orange County.
The recently redesigned website brings corporate and community together in an informative and interactive design. The site allows for recent events and information to be accessed easily including upcoming events, press releases, and videos of previous fundraising events.
Lead designer on the website Steve Schebesch says,”The design is meant to be friendly, inviting and easy to use. To accomplish this I used big buttons, rounded corners, and a lot of color. I was inspired by European and minimalistic designed websites to create. org. They work great for creating simple easy to read page layouts that use a lot of screen real estate.”
Morgan Drexen Graphic designer Tom Eidukonis says, ”I think it is helpful to remind people that successful businesses are not necessarily impersonal machines of capitalism just out to make a quick buck, but that they are comprised of individuals who want to live and work in a community they can be proud of. Success allows a business to contribute in a meaningful way to valuable causes locally and sometimes globally.”
The new site will allow donations to be made to several of the local organizations supported by Morgan Drexen. In addition, there is news feed for employees and members of the public to keep up to date with the latest events and volunteer opportunities.
“The new site is great as it shows how much the employees of Morgan Drexen really care about the community we live in. Our 300+ employees live in and around Orange County and it is important for us all to support these organizations,” admits Charla Batey, Media and Corporate Relations Coordinator for Morgan Drexen.
Sean Roberts Production Manager at Morgan Drexen says, "It's so important to support local charities like CHOC because the impacts are felt so close to home -- your neighbor, your friend, your own family. At the most critical times, they are there. In 2007, when my eldest daughter was hospitalized, it took the doctor in the ICU two seconds to look at her and diagnose her rare neurological condition. Her pediatrician and pediatric dermatologist should have known to test her for it since birth but they did not. The doctors, nurses and staff at CHOC are unbelievable."
