All Auto Paints will be supplying Nevada State Prison, Silver State Industries with Pro-Spray Automotive Refinishes. A complete mixing service will be used at the State body shop.
After many meetings to discuss the product and benefits of the product, Silver State Industries decided to move forward. Silver State Industries will now update their shop to do insurance work. Having a supplier with knowledge and experience was a big factor in this partnership.
This has many benefits for not only the prison system but for the inmates as well. The money that is generated by the shop helps supplement the operations and also trains the inmates. The inmates will not only learn the art of body work and painting, they will also be taught the benefits of spray can and touch up repair.
Each and every inmate that is hired on by the body shop must first apply and go through the interview process. They must answer questions, the first being why they want to work in the shop, why they want this job? If the answer has to do with money, which is very minimal, they are dismissed. As the director, Bill Quenga has stated it is to learn a trade, so when they are released they have a better opportunity to seek employment and be productive in society. This is also helpful because they most likely won’t be repeat offenders.
Silver State Industries has great success with inmates finding employment once they are released. All Auto Paints and Pro-Spray Refinishes are proud to part of this great program.
