This October, just in time for Halloween, Americans are invited to participate in very special month long fund raiser for an equine sanctuary called GHOST HORSE HAVEN. A kick-off fund raising event will be held in Peebles, Ohio, at the Great Serpent Mound National Effigy on Saturday, October 15th, from 11AM - 9PM. The refuge will serve as a permanent preserve for a very rare collection of mares and stallions with historic Mountain Horse bloodlines and distinctive coloration. Most of the Ghost Horses have creamy-white coats and pale blue eyes! The family oriented preserve will also host ecological speakers and presenters that specialize in TEK or Traditional Ecological Knowledge. GHOST HORSE HAVEN will be dedicated to world conservation and the public service of keeping wise environmental practices alive for the benefit of all nations.

"The Ghost Horses should be more accessible to everyone," says caretaker Anne Severn Williamson, "as a symbol of hope for our planet. We are reaching out to America and beyond, to ask for your support and donations of any size to establish GHOST HORSE HAVEN in Crestone, Colorado. Why Crestone? "This community," explains breeding manager Jack Williamson, "is a center for peace, conservation, and the preservation of world truths. What better place for a teaching center for ecology and inspirational environmental forums? Crestone, Colorado, is a perfect, centrally located destination for GHOST HORSE HAVEN. We want the equine refuge to conveniently serve both present and future generations."

The national fund raising event is hitting the social circles, especially Facebook, where interested supporters can send a friend request to caretaker Anne Severn Williamson directly or subscribe to To see a video concerning the month long event, check out SAVE THE GHOST HORSES! on You tube. "Ghost Horse Hollow," adds Anne, "is an imaginary realm in the Appalachian wilderness one hundred years in the future where the Ghost Horses live with a very special family of earth survivors. We welcomed 133 nations to our web site last year."

Donations will be gladly accepted at the Serpent Mound kick-off event on October 15th. Many volunteers are coming together to establish GHOST HORSE HAVEN. A special thanks goes out to Mr. & Mrs. Redbear Wallen for assisting with the kick-off. Please be sure to go on Facebook and RSVP your plans to attend under EVENTS.
