More song information, suggestions and streams make it easier to discover new music with Broadjam.

Musicians and music fans have a new tool at their fingertips. Broadjam has launched an updated music player that provides listeners a fun, engaging way to find and enjoy their growing library of independent music, currently over 500,000 songs.

As always with Broadjam, listeners can rate the songs, create playlists and connect to artists. Additional features within the new player include:

  •     Broadjam Radio, providing streams of either top-rated music or the entire library within each genre
  •     “Songs You Might Like,” offering up more music from each artist and other songs in a similar vein to the one playing
  •     Info on the artist, song and lyrics while each song is “Now Playing”
  •     The ability to “Find Music” via search for specific artists, songs, similar artists or genre

“Broadjam has always been about the community of musicians and fans,” says Broadjam founder, Roy Elkins. “The new player makes it even easier to find music you haven’t heard yet, connect with the artists, and share what you’ve found.”

Artists will enjoy increased interaction with their peers and fans. Listeners are encouraged to rate the songs as they hear them via an easy, 5-star rating system, as well as write more detailed song reviews. This listener activity, including free and paid downloads and creating personal playlists, all factors into the Broadjam Top 10 rankings in each genre.

According to Elkins, “Through the Top 10’s, plus sharing Broadjam links via Facebook and other channels, listeners can have a big impact in turning their friends and other fans on to new music.”

Broadjam, Inc. is a leading community and resource for independent musicians and their fans. Established in 1999, Broadjam currently has a music library of over 500,000 songs and 120,000 members from around the world.
