Quellent, LLC, a developer of proprietary disposable absorptive products and technologies, today announced its intent to seek an acquirer, or channel partner for its DriPAD™ product line, used in both human and animal healthcare. DriPADs are designed to absorb and solidify potentially infectious body fluids, and to provide thermal therapy (hot/cold compress). There is no competitive product that provides equivalent properties and utility.

“The DriPAD provides significant benefits to the clinician, as proven by an established customer base. It is the most absorptive disposable procedure pad on the market, and the only one with an anti-microbial agent in the pad to reduce bio-burden and odors within,” said Craig Sundheimer, Quellent's Chief Business Officer. “Blood, body and irrigation fluids are absorbed almost instantaneously, and the fluid is solidified, locked in place within the core of the pad, so they do not drip or leak. DriPADs have a heavy gauge non-skid bio-barrier back to keep the pad in place, and prevent soak-through. The pads have a specially treated fabric cover that quickly absorbs fluids, even when high volumes are poured on to them.”

“DriPADs’ unique and patented composition allows them to be partially soaked with water, and then frozen or chilled in a refrigerator, or heated in a microwave, to administer thermal therapy. They also retain their ability to absorb - they are the only pad on the market for this application. Larger DriPADs can be used to assist in body temperature control; smaller DriPADs can be used as hot/cold compresses,'' added Lloyd Jarvis, Quellent's Chief Operating Officer. “DriPADs are 100% manufactured in the U.S.A. and are 99% biodegradable, which is very unusual in this product category.”

“The market for the DriPAD line is substantial and diverse. Companies with channel strength in the Hospital, Physician Offices, EMS, Sports Medicine and Pet/Veterinary can be quite successful. The opportunity in professional and college sports as a totally dry, yet absorptive, hot or cold wrap is particularly exciting," added Sundheimer. “Sales Teams will appreciate that the DriPAD lends itself to a dramatic 30 second demonstration which can be viewed at http://www.quellent.com, and performed in front of the customer. The value proposition is 1) dry thermal care, 2) improved infection control, 3) reduced clean-up time, 4) improved turn-around time and, 5) reduced land fill. Sales Management Teams will appreciate the security of the DriPAD patent, trade secret, and trademark protection.”

About Quellent, LLC
Quellent, LLC is a private company that develops, manufactures and sells proprietary, super-absorbent anti-microbial disposables in many configurations, shapes and sizes under the DriPAD trademark. Quellent is headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA, and its Customer Service Center is in Carlsbad, CA. Quellent has qualified numerous markets that find great utility in the DriPAD product line. They include the Hospital, First Responder, Veterinary, Alternate Site and Sports markets. As a small self-funded company, Quellent does not have the resources, or buying group relationships, to leverage this line into institutional segments, such as the Hospital, or highly segmented markets such as EMS/First Responders. Quellent is seeking to be acquired by, or partner with, a larger company with channel leverage in key markets.
