Author Roland Heon’s engaging picture book to be featured at this year’s Frankfurt International Book Fair in Germany on October 12-16

Eudo The Christmas Mouse makes his introduction into the children’s world in the pages of this vibrant picture book, filled with an interesting plot and vivid illustrations. Author Roland R. Heon puts more fun and spark into your holiday celebrations with this charming read.

Eudo, a mischievous French/Canadian mouse, who now lives in the United States, boldly involves himself in the Christmas holiday celebration of his newfound friend, Jules, and the Papillon family. Eudo’s story re-ignites the long standing French/Canadian tradition of the pork pies and family festivities after church services on Christmas Eve, a tradition that lives on ‘til this very day.

The author did indeed experience such an incident many years ago, when after returning from Christmas Eve services, he and his family found that some creature had eaten at their pork pie, and the author suggested that the culprit could be a “Christmas Mouse”, and thus the birth of EUDO.

The text is in two languages, English and French, and is intended as a teaching aid as well as an entertaining child’s Christmas story. The French translation, though not quite as polished as it might have been, is done intentionally to facilitate a child’s comprehension of words from English to French and French to English, and is therefore more literally translated.

This book will be featured at the 2011 Frankfurt International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 12-16, 2011. For more information on this book, interested parties may log on to
