Vocalage Inc. has unveiled the second part of its group gifting strategy with the launch of, a site targeted to address the concerns of online merchants seeking to expand their capabilities in the area of social commerce.

According to Mark Chignell, President of Vocalage, advice received from the major affiliate networks has been crucial in developing the strategy to make group gifting more generally available. As part of that strategy, Vocalage is seeking to partner with merchants whose products would make attractive group gifts. Partnerships with merchants for group gifting of products is the second major step in Vocalage’s group gifting roadmap. The first part of that roadmap has been the development of the gift giving community. As Mark Chignell noted, “group gifting is going to explode in the next couple of years and merchants who fail to seize this opportunity will be at a competitive disadvantage. As the industry leader in this area Vocalage is well positioned to help merchants roll out their group gifting strategy. Vocalage is committed to helping as many online merchants as possible attach Give Buttons to their products.”

In addition to building awareness of Give Buttons amongst merchants, Vocalage is also launching a campaign to build general awareness of group gifting. Vocalage is spreading the word about Give Buttons ,and their value, amongst consumers and gift givers. As a first step in that campaign Vocalage has created a group gifting video ( that explains the concept of Give Buttons and their use.

The roll out of the site is the second step in a comprehensive strategy that Vocalage has developed for bringing group gifting to online retail. Vocalage expects that it won’t be long before the idea that products can only be bought by a single purchaser will seem as quaint as the electric typewriter. With it’s comprehensive strategy, Vocalage is helping online merchants harness the power of gift giving and social media, thereby establishing a competitive advantage over their rivals.
