We truly believe we can become the epicenter of CrossFit in the state of Indiana by bringing the CrossFit methodologies to the community and in turn open Hoosiers' eyes to increased fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.
Englewood, CO (PRWEB) October 12, 2011
CrossFit NapTown officially opened its doors for business, celebrating its Grand Opening Saturday, October 8, 2011. Located at 609 North Delaware Street, this is the first and only CrossFit affiliate located in the immediate downtown area of Indianapolis.
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for military units, police academies and Olympic athletes, to name a few. The program's workouts are characterized as constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. While it has served elite athletes worldwide, it is also universally scalable, making it applicable to any individual, regardless of experience. Each workout of the day, or WOD, is different and provides a unique challenge each day. CrossFit is characterized not only by the workouts themselves but also by its commitment to community, which fosters a welcoming and motivational environment, even in the midst of a constantly changing repertoire.
CrossFit NapTown was started by Peter Brasovan and Jared Byczko, who are Merrillville, Indiana natives, and both played NCAA Division I soccer at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. The two of them have utilized their backgrounds in athletics and passion for fitness to propel the opening of their own business. Having each received CrossFit Level I Coaching certifications, they are well equipped to introduce CrossFit to the downtown Indianapolis community and are eager to advance the sport in central Indiana. “CrossFit NapTown couldn't be more excited to be bringing the CrossFit community together in the greater Indianapolis area,” note Byczko and Brasovan. “We truly believe we can become the epicenter of CrossFit in the state of Indiana by bringing the CrossFit methodologies to the community and in turn open Hoosiers' eyes to increased fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.”
