We are connecting the World, ONE PEACE at a Time
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (PRWEB) October 01, 2011
On 11/11/11 at 11:11:11, the time and date are all "1". This happens once in a lifetime, but it is also fair to say that it is a ONES in a Lifetime event. With this fun party idea as the launching pad for a significant global unity movement, Ones in a Lifetime is now establishing lists of celebration locations and venues. Opportunities for individuals, organizations, communities, and existing venues to participate in a global event are now provided at the website.
Parties will be held much like New Years' Eve, where that significant time and date arrive time-zone by time-zone. With sufficient parties listed, Ones in a Lifetime is setting plans to livestream events from every time zone on their site and simultaneously on Facebook. These celebrations afford the world the opportunity to experience different cultures and concepts, all the while supplying a moment of optimism and hope in a time full of bad news and instability.
The celebrations already listed are as various as the people having them. From a AAA rated 4-Diamond Resort and Spa in North Carolina (the Sanderling) planning an evening of dinner and dancing, complete with a champagne toast at 11:11:11 pm, to a South African Music Festival weekend (the ONE Festival), to the largest Veterans' Day Parade west of the Mississippi (in Las Vegas), to a series of local parties in homes, the ideas are pouring in and are being listed on the website.
"The Ones in a Lifetime event will be what the members make it," said Founder Dan Shutt. "As more and more people join over the next few weeks, we expect that we will have celebrations in every time zone, providing a truly global effect. This celebration serves as the Grand Opening of the much larger endeavor behind it."
