Packt Publishing, one of the world’s leading publishers of Oracle books and ebooks, announced that it will be attending Oracle OpenWorld 2011 in San Francisco from October 3-5. With more than 50 titles available onsite on subjects ranging from the Oracle Database and Oracle Middleware to Oracle Applications and Servers - Packt representatives will be available to answer questions, discuss published titles, give away free eBooks, demonstrate e-learning products and run through new publishing opportunities with the authors of tomorrow. Packt will be at 114 Moscone South.
Since 2009, Packt has established itself as a go-to resource for Oracle professionals. Now exhibiting at Oracle OpenWorld for a second year, Packt will be on hand to talk with administrators, developers and end users alike on subjects from Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle APEX, to Hyperion, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft. Free eBooks will be available to all delegates who sign up at the booth. Packt authors including Ben Prusinski and Syed Jaffer Hussain of “Oracle 11g R1/R2 Real Application Clusters Essentials” fame will also be present at the event to sign copies of their book.
Packt began publishing Oracle books in 2006 with the launch of its “BPEL Cookbook: Best Practices for SOA-based integration and composite applications development.” Since then the company has gone on to publish more than fifty additional titles into both niche and mainstream technology areas but always with the aim of properly serving the informational needs of Oracle professionals.
Earlier this year, Packt launched an Oracle library on PacktLib, its cloud-based book library. For a low one-off payment, subscribers can access every Oracle book Packt has published, and will continue to publish, for a 12-month period. PacktLib can be accessed from any browser connected to the Internet.
