Alef Bet, the web’s most unique source for hand-crafted Judaic jewelry, has been tapped by Hollywood.

Costumers for the new ABC series, “Suburgatory”, which made its debut on Wednesday, September 28, requested and purchased Alef Bet Jewelry to be worn by characters in the series. The cast includes Jane Levy and Jeremy Sisto.

The studio called for several of Alef Bet’s popular pendants, including feminine, modern interpretations of the Star of David and the Chai (“life”, in Hebrew) character, in gold-plate.

Alissa Haroush, who co-designs the line in partnership with her mother, Paula, comments, “We were excited to supply some of our pieces for this new series.” The show is about a feeling of displacement, about a teenage girl who is relocated from New York City to the ‘burbs. And while this isn’t a specifically Jewish theme, it’s a theme to which Jews everywhere relate. And, the fact that ‘Suburgatory’ made its season debut on Rosh Hashanah seems lucky."

Alef Bet specializes in contemporary, wearable Judaic jewelry to enjoy every day, and to give as cherished gifts. Many of the most popular designs feature the Hamsa protective “hand” amulet, as well as the “eye” symbol worn to deflect the evil eye. Designs range from casual to formal, hand-crafted from sterling silver, and 14k gold. Designed and manufactured in Los Angeles. For more, please visit http://www.alefbet.com.
