Many Soldiers Don't Realize They're Entitled to TSGLI Benefits

Glen Lerner & Associates, a Las-Vegas based injury law firm, is now assisting injured military servicemembers in recovering benefits, and getting the word out to many veterans who don't realize they are entitled to these benefits.

TSGLI helps traumatically injured service members and their families with financial burdens with a one-time payment. The amount varies depending on the injury, but receiving these benefits could be the difference in help that allows their family to be with them during recovery, helps with unforeseen expenses or gives a financial head start on life after recovery.

TSGLI is included as part of a soldier's SGLI coverage. Any soldier who elected SGLI coverage automatically receives TSGLI coverage with an additional $1 taken out each month to cover the cost of the TSGLI policy. In addition, there is a program in which soldiers who incurred a qualifying traumatic injury from October 7, 2001 to Nov 30, 2005 are covered regardless of whether they elected SGLI coverage or not. TSGLI will not affect a soldier's VA Disability.

Unfortunately, many servicemembers are not even aware of the benefits they're entitled to, or perhaps don't know how to start the process. Glen Lerner & Associates will assist in filling out the necessary paperwork, ensuring all forms are properly submitted in an effort to recover the maximum amount each servicemember is entitled to.
