New Venture Firm Challenges Business Leaders to Engage the Global Economy Now

The MEDIA GLOBO Corporation announced today on the opening of the annual HSM Global World Business Forum 2011, being held at the Javits Center North in New York City, October 5-6th, that the new venture firm challenges business leaders meeting from around the world to focus on local community, regional and business solutions for engaging the global economy now.

“At a time when governments are faltering to prevent the world’s economy from slipping back into recession, business cannot afford to sit on the public policy sidelines,” said MEDIA GLOBO Chairman Michael Grandon, who is participating in the forum through the College of Management and Technology at Walden University and the Laureate International Universities. “There are a number of specific local and regional actions that business leaders can take now to address today’s fiscal challenges, by focusing on creative and tangible solutions one community at a time.”

MEDIA GLOBO management recommends forum participants consider a range of achievable local agenda business initiatives, including but not limited to: local corporate venture capital and community investment funds, business association or syndicate lending and community development, barter exchange networks, local labor employment pools, job skills training, mentorship or internship programs, public / private sector risk capital partnerships and economic development, support for political candidates and elected officials who will achieve real results, and socially responsible local leadership.
