Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 04, 2011
Chef Calvin Harris, creator of NBC’s The Biggest Losers’ Simply Sensible entrées, a line of healthy meal options available at grocery retailers across the country, launched a new website today. The site, chefcalvinharris.com, is a bold, lively and clean user-friendly online destination which offers cooking videos, as Chef Calvin displays a range of dishes from featured recipes in the lifestyle kitchen; Chef Calvin talks about his journey to culinary success; the philosophy behind his food style; the preparation and execution of his healthy and flavorful dishes. “The new site is designed to help busy home cooks and the culinary curious to make smart, informed decisions about food and cooking, while also helping to provide well balanced meal options without sacrificing flavor,” said Chef Calvin. “I always ask myself, ‘How will I impact people’s lives in a positive way through food? My new site helps me to celebrate my love and passion for food.”
Chef Calvin’s site is driven by his culinary philosophy as the LifeStyle Chef to create highly flavorful, well balanced meals and to develop everyday recipes and products that allow you to live the Simply Sensible lifestyle. Consumers will view recipe ideas for a delicious well balanced meal at home that include foods like a oven roasted rosemary chicken with truffle sweet potato mash; zing salmon; pan sautéed tilapia with jalapeño lime marinade; oven roasted tomatoes; grilled vegetables with aged balsamic-infused goat cheese sandwiches and so much more. Most of the recipes are accompanied by cooking videos featuring Chef Calvin that bring the meals to life, which are produced by MotionWorks Productions.
As a major feature of the site, Chef Calvin discusses his partnership with NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group and Reveille LLC to create a line of refrigerated, fully-prepared healthy meal options called Simply Sensible which launched earlier this year in conjunction with NBC's hit-series, “The Biggest Loser.” Simply Sensible is endorsed by the American Heart Association and has an average retail cost of $6.99. Simply Sensible products are the first fully prepared “better for you” meal options and are available in the refrigerated section of national grocers.
