WHAT:
Sparta Systems, Inc., the maker of TrackWise® quality management software and the market leader in enterprise quality and compliance management solutions, today announced that it will be presenting two sessions at the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) Workshop, taking place Oct. 4-5, 2011, in Arlington, VA. In these sessions, Tim Mohn, Industry Principal for Sparta Systems, will offer attendees best practices for automating critical CAPA practices in a quality management system, ensuring that incidents that occur in the device manufacturing process are resolved and reported in a timely fashion with steps taken to ensure they do not occur again.

With regulatory guidelines for medical device manufacturing becoming more stringent, device organizations of all sizes must ensure that their CAPA processes are streamlined for quick and comprehensive reporting to the FDA, leading many to automate these processes within their quality systems. Sparta Systems’ AdvaMed MTLI CAPA Workshop presentations will address multiple challenges organizations typically face in configuring and initiating CAPA process automation, answering critical questions, such as: How do you deal with change? Are you ever done? How do you link CAPA processes to change control? What impact does CAPA automation have on the device risk register? Those who attend will walk away with answers to these questions and more, ultimately receiving a thorough understanding of how to better manage their CAPA processes in their own quality management software solutions.

WHO:
Tim Mohn is the industry principal at Sparta Systems and the former manager of worldwide systems for Johnson & Johnson Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. Mohn is widely recognized as a thought leader on quality and safety issues in the medical device market.
