Pink ribbon welcome mats from Carpet One Floor & Home make a statement of support in any doorway.
Manchester, NH (PRWEB) October 04, 2011
Carpet One Floor & Home is excited to introduce their new collection of pink ribbon welcome mats to support breast cancer research. The Carpet One Welcomes Your Support campaign has been raising funds to support organizations and researchers searching for a cure since 2004. This year’s collection features twelve new designs that make a statement of support in any doorway.
Each welcome mat sale helps The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), and the Canadian Cancer Society find a cure for breast cancer. The indoor/outdoor welcome mats are each emblazoned with a pink ribbon to remind us of those near and dear who have battled with breast cancer. Twenty-five percent of the sales of these mats will be donated to BCRF in the US and the Society in Canada. Carpet One Floor & Home’s welcome mats add a color style to your doorway, but they are also very practical. Having a mat at every doorway can keep your house cleaner and actually protect your floors by trapping dirt from your shoes before it makes it in your house and onto your floors.
“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is very pleased to have Carpet One Floor & Home as a dedicated partner in our battle against breast cancer,” said Myra J. Biblowit, President, BCRF. “When consumers purchase these mats, it provides critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide. The mats also serve as a great every-day reminder to keep fighting as we search for a cure.”
This year, three of the new welcome mat designs were named by Carpet One Floor & Home’s Facebook fans. Hope Springs is a green and white lily of the valley mat named by Sheila Leach. Change of Seasons, named by Jackie Michaud, features an elegant branch with leaves that to Jackie represent new life. The third mat, Joyful Beginning, was named by Tina Casey. This cheerful mat with brightly colored flowers represents the beginning of a new life for all those who have survived a battle with breast cancer. All the welcome mat names and the winners’ comments can be found on Carpet One Floor & Home’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/CarpetOne.
“Carpet One Floor & Home has supported the Canadian Cancer Society through the Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support campaign for over seven years,” said Susan Drodge, Acting Director, Corporate Development, Canadian Cancer Society. “We are honored by their continued support.”
Carpet One Floor & Home’s pink ribbon welcome mats have raised more than $825,000 in the U.S and Canada since the campaign started in 2004.
Pink ribbon welcome mats are available year round at Carpet One Floor & Home stores for approximately $24.99US/$34.99CDN. All of Carpet One Floor & Home’s welcome mats are stain-and-water resistant and machine-washable. These inspiring pink ribbon welcome mats make great gifts and add a special touch to your doorway for special occasions or every day. They also make great additions to kitchens and bathrooms too! About The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®

In October 2011, BCRF will award $36.5 million to 186 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and China. Currently, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated is directed to breast cancer research and awareness programs. With exceptionally low administrative costs, BCRF continues to be one of the most efficient organizations in the country and is designated an “A+” charity by The American Institute of Philanthropy, the only cancer organization to achieve this.
