We're proud to have our assistive listening devices selected by the VA. Just as they are committed to serving veterans we are committed to helping those who experience hearing loss to hear, connect and belong.
Naperville, Illinois (PRWEB) October 05, 2011
HITEC Group, the developer, distributor and manufacturer of assistive listening devices, announces it has been awarded the assistive listening device contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). A longtime supplier of amplified devices to the VA, the HITEC Group products selected under the contract are the ClearSounds® A1600 Amplified Cordless Phone System, a combination base speakerphone and cordless handset with audio amplification, and ClearSounds Quattro™ Connect360 Bluetooth Neckloop System, a personal, portable assistive listening device to amplify the audio of multiple gadgets, including smartphones, televisions, portable media players and tablet computers, such as the Apple® iPod® and Apple® iPad®.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs serves more than 27 million veterans. In doing so, it has a need for products and services from industries as required by a nationwide system of hospitals, clinics, Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN), data processing centers, and National Cemeteries which require a broad spectrum of goods and services. It purchases these goods and services on a national, regional, and local level.
The VA Remote Order Entry System (ROES) application allows veterans to place orders online for these products and/or services available through the Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center (DALC). ROES provides a convenient, secure means of using the internet to place orders for products available through the DALC. Both the ClearSounds A1600 Amplified Cordless Phone System and ClearSounds Quattro Connect360 Bluetooth Neckloop System are available for purchase through ROES from DALC.
“We are proud to have our assistive listening devices selected by the VA,” said Michele Ahlman, President, ClearSounds Communications. “Just as they are committed to serving veterans we are committed to helping those who experience mild to moderate hearing loss to hear, connect and belong. Diminished hearing abilities are experienced by many veterans, such as my father, a retired U.S. Army Major, who along with my mother founded this company and developed our first products.”
