Expansion Reflects Increased Demand from Brand Marketers Targeting Male Entertainment Enthusiasts

M.E.N. provides a unique and compelling opportunity for marketers seeking to closely associate with premium entertainment content and connect with a critical mass of influential young adult male consumers.

Reflecting brand advertiser demand for premium short-form video content online, the Metacafe Entertainment Network (M.E.N.), today announced further expansion of its sales team. With revenues for the first half of 2011 up 70 percent compared to the same time period last year, Metacafe continues to advance its industry leadership. The new hires will support growth of the recently announced M.E.N., which underscores the company’s commitment to keeping 18- to 34- year-old male entertainment enthusiasts in the loop on what’s trending in the categories of movies, games and action sports and creates scalable ways for brand advertisers to connect with this hard-to-reach demographic.

New hires include:

  •     Jon Harrison, senior director of mid-west sales – based in Chicago

Harrison brings 15 years of digital media sales experience to his leadership role in establishing M.E.N.’s presence in the Midwest territory and working closely with leading brands and agencies in the region. He previously held senior sales positions for companies such as Break Media, Fox Interactive Media and RollingStone.com.

  •     Marisa Polin, regional sales manager – based in New York City

Polin brings extensive media and marketing experience to her role in M.E.N.’s Midtown Manhattan office. She previously served as Digital Media Supervisor for Mindshare New York, after holding media management positions at both 360i Media and Media Com.
“As a first-of-its-kind online entertainment network super-serving guys, M.E.N. provides a unique and compelling opportunity for marketers seeking to closely associate with premium entertainment content and connect with a critical mass of influential young adult male consumers,” said Brent Fraser, vice president of global sales for M.E.N. “This proposition is resonating with marquee brand advertisers, and we’re building out our team to meet client demand and fuel continued growth in key markets.”
