Honoring Excellence seal
The Honoring Excellence award is a great initiative and I am pleased to be a recipient. Authors need to be aware of quality services and partners available to them and it is an important role for the AiA to play.
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) October 06, 2011
The Association of Independent Authors developed its Honoring Excellence program to recognize consultants, businesses and organizations that offer and deliver exceptional products and services for independent (self-published) authors. The program is administered by the Honoring Excellence Committee (HEC), which considers nominations for the award from members based on actual positive experiences and not from association or affiliations. Self-nomination is also not possible.
With recent dramatic changes in publishing that make it easy for authors everywhere to publish their work to a global audience, there is a corresponding dramatic rise in the number of businesses offering services to independent authors and not all of these are of value. It is therefore important for organizations like the Association of Independent Authors to recognize services that are of a high standard.
"The Honoring Excellence award is a great initiative and I am pleased to be a recipient." says Beth Kallman Werner, Founder & President of Author Connections, LLC. "Authors need to be aware of quality services and partners available to them and it is an important role for the AiA to play."
Recipients of the award are reviewed annually with further information and feedback from members taken into consideration. There are no fees involved.
Readers Favorite joins twelve other recipients of the Honoring Excellence award including CreateSpace, BookBaby, Kindle Direct Publishing, Smashwords, 1106 Design, Book Cover Cafe, Author Connections LLC, BlueInk Review, Independent Publisher Book Awards, Midwest Book Reviews, National Indie Excellence Book Awards, and Self-Publishing Coach.
The Association of Independent Authors also maintains an Author's Resource Guide listing individuals, businesses and companies offering services and products for independent authors including marketing, PR, publishing, editing, consulting, education, and design.
