Tara Manufacturing (dba. Sky Box Sport Scenes) would like to announce that the company has been granted licensing agreements with the University of Alabama and Auburn University to produce wall murals picturing each of the school's football stadiums. These murals are printed on wallpaper material and peel-and-stick vinyl and come in 3 sizes. The panoramic photographs are taken from inside the stadium during an actual game. Fan's can recreate the experience of being at a game in their home or office.
Tara is a Woman run company, located in North Alabama, that uses a unique digital printing process to produce high resolution photographic prints as large as 8 ft. tall by 12 ft. wide. In 2010 Tara purchased the rights to Sky Box Sport Scenes which pioneered sports memorabilia PhotoMurals. The PhotoMurals are printed directly on wallpaper material and can be applied using the same processes. Because of the size and quality of the images, they work well as decoration in home and office interiors. Childrens bedrooms, media rooms and retail settings are a few of the popular places that the murals are used. One unique application, recently, brought the company some incredible exposure. A 2’x3’ stadium shot of the Oakland A's was featured prominently in the film Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt. The image is used as a framed picture in the office of Peter Brand who is hired by Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) to assist in putting a winning team together. It's not the first time that the company's murals have been used as set decoration but it is the most outstanding.
The film company choose Sky Box Sport Scenes (Tara) because they are the only company licensed by Major League Baseball to produce stadium shots of that size. Tara has had an agreement with MLB to produce stadium shots of 24 home stadiums since 2008. As word has spread about the murals, demand has increased for other sports stadiums. In this part of the country the demand was strongest for college football, especially the 2 most popular schools. Tara began investigating the possibility of licensing the rights to produce the stadium murals at the end of the season last year. After an agreement was made with the Collegiate Licensing Company, the proposed images were submitted to each school for approval. Both Auburn and Alabama granted the approval and now the murals are available to purchase.
Now fans of Auburn and Alabama can order a mural of their team's stadium to decorate their walls. The 8 ft. x 12 ft. wallpaper mural has been the most popular choice for fans so far. Most customers prefer the large scale of the 8x12, because it has the most dramatic effect. Where time and space are limited, the peel-and-stick product is an increasingly popular choice. Peel-and-stick is a self-adhesive vinyl that can be applied like a large decal. It can even be removed and repositioned, unlike wallpaper. Each material choice comes in 2 sizes. The wallpaper is available in 8 ft. x 12 ft. and 4 ft. x 6 ft. sizes and the peel-and-stick is available in 4 ft. x 6 ft. and 2 ft x 6 ft. sizes. Tara plans to make it possible to order the college stadiums on the Skybox website, http://www.sbss.us, in the near future. All 24 MLB baseball stadiums are available on the site, now. Customers can order any of these selections by calling 256-725-2500 or emailing kdean(at)taramfg(dot)com.
