Mexico City/Denver (PRWEB) October 06, 2011
aioTV announced today that Mexico City’s Maxcom has launched Yuzu, their next generation multi-channel OTT video service, using the aioTV platform. The Yuzu TV service uses the aioTV platform to offer a mix of live linear cable TV channels, video on demand, and internet content in a unified experience across multiple devices, including the iPad, Android Tablets, set top boxes, PC/MAC, and smart phones.
“We are very excited to enable Maxcom to launch this groundbreaking service to the market. The aioTV platform provides a relevant user video experience and video enablement on the devices that people want. With the success that Maxcom has had with their broadband service in Mexico, we look forward to enabling their OTT video service throughout Mexico,” said Mike Earle, CEO of aioTV Inc.
Maxcom launched the Yuzu service on September 12 delivering live linear television channels, a catalogue of subscription VoD and on demand TV series, children and sports episodes. Any customer in Mexico can now enjoy Yuzu channels and favorite TV programs anywhere and anytime, via a PC, Mac, iPhone or Android device without limitation, for a flat monthly fee.
“We looked at a number of video platforms and found aioTV to be the only platform to deliver a next generation video service with the quality and experience our customers expect and the economics we needed to deliver a compelling offer,” said Gabriel Cejudo Marketing VP of Maxcom.
The Yuzu service is available across all of Mexico and can be found at http://www.yuzu.com.mx
