I love to see the faces of people when they first see our sea glass - like Christmas morning in sea glass form!

For the past 5 years, Krista Hammond and her husband; sole creators of Santa Cruz Sea Glass have worked long hours preparing each October for the North American Sea Glass Association's annual festival. Past year's shows have drawn them to such locations as; Lake Erie, PA, Hyannis, MA, and this year; Long Branch, NJ.
A native west coast couple, Santa Cruz Sea Glass features only sea glass from California beaches. Each piece has been found by the couple and every unique piece of jewelry is made with their own two hands.
They specialize in what has been termed "exotic sea glass," which is; sea glass that can be found on only one beach in Santa Cruz County. These exotic sea glass pieces are the remnants of a world famous glass blower that discarded his pieces into the ocean in the late 60's.
Every year, Krista carefully packs hundreds of cherished one-of-a-kind pieces from their collection to display in her booth at the NASGA festival. Crowds swarm to get a glimpse of their collection and select from one of a kind pieces the couple has made into jewelry. "My collection of rare, exotic pieces from California always draws a big crowd. I love to see the faces of people when they first see our sea glass - like Christmas morning in sea glass form!" says Krista.
The extra effort it takes in bringing their collection across the country has paid off in happy faces and local front page news coverage at the 2010 NASGA festival in Cape Cod.
With over 100 new sea glass jewelry pieces up for sale and a rare sea glass collection, be sure to check out Santa Cruz Sea Glass in Booth #600. The 2011 NASGA festival is October 8th & 9th at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, New Jersey.
