Author Mike Kunda brings to life one of cinema's most loved movie characters as Xlibris releases Cue the Rocky Music. In this one of a kind memoir, he looks back at a life filled with counterpunches, below-the-belt attacks, knockdowns-and eventual victory. Kunda wears his Rocky persona like Superman’s cape. It’s probably why he won the first ever national Rocky look alike contest, held in Philadelphia, 2006, and is co-hosting the 35th Anniversary of Rocky, a weekend event for registered fans with co-chairpersons, Joy Cooper from Bedford County, and Mark Sion Roberts, United Kingdom on October 15 and 16 at Philadelphia's Museum of Art, where he will be selling and signing copies of his book.
Rocky Balboa, although fictional, is a famous character that symbolizes victory and success amid failures and disappointments. Played by Sylvester Stallone, his life story is one that will always be inspirational. And so was the life of the author. Kunda wanted to be Rocky Balboa. What he didn't know was that in thirty years, he would be. It follows the young Mike as he wore costumes and faced bullies with a lack of physical prowess. Soon, he went toe-to-toe with life and found the courage to face every punch it has to offer. In this release he boldly discloses his true story of inspiration. Cue the Rocky Music is a memoir for every-nobody wanting to be somebody with a dream.
“Basically, it’s about practice and opportunity – my definition of Luck.”
Incredibly blending humor with motivation, Cue the Rocky Music chronicles the author's life and documents how it has relatively resembled that of Rocky's. Through its pages, readers will learn how after a series of connections with Stallone himself, the author's life goes from reel to real as he grows closer toward his destiny.
