Historic Vine Hill Winery, located in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains wine appellation, has announced its upcoming Fourth Annual Fall Wine and Music Festival, to be held at its vineyard and winery overlooking beautiful Monterey Bay. On the third weekend of this month, Saturday and Sunday, October 15th and 16th, Vine Hill will offer a delightful variety of fabulous wines, lively music performed by local musicians, picnic areas with terrific views and free pumpkin decorating and lemonade for kids.

“It’s harvest time at the vineyard and we usually are graced by Mother Nature with an Indian Summer this time of year. Our Fall Wine & Music Festival has been a continued success the past three years, where everyone can relax, enjoy the wine and music and take-in the beautiful views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Monterey Bay — everyone always looks forward to it,” said Lore James, marketing director at Vine Hill Winery. “This year should be stellar!”

A Great Selection of Wines — Plus Delicious Box Lunches Available for Purchase

Along with some of the winery’s award-winning Pinot Noirs, other varietals that will be available for tasting at the festival will include Zinfandel, Syrah and Chardonnay. The tasting fee is $10 per person, and includes wine tasting and live music. Vine Hill Winery Wine Club members taste for free, and can bring up to three guests. In addition to tasting, wines will also be available by-the-glass for $6 to $8 per glass.

Vine Hill Winery is also a perfect location for enjoying a picnic with a spectacular view — guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch of their own, or enjoy boxed lunches that will be available for purchase at the festival both days. Complimentary popcorn, lemonade and pure Santa Cruz Mountains water will be available both afternoons.

Americana & Blue Grass Music . . . A Wonderful Complement to Fine Wines

On Saturday, October 15th, Vine Hill will once again welcome back Amee Chapman and The Velvet Tumbleweeds — an amazing musical artist, and her equally amazing band, who will perform “Sagebrush Soul and Americana” tunes at the upper patio for the afternoon.

Then on Sunday, October 16th, Duane Campbell and The Just Picked String Band, a popular Bluegrass band, will perform an excellent repertoire of below-the-Mason-Dixon-Line-favorites, with fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin — all the essential ingredients for real foot-stomping Bluegrass.
