Lois King was born in Rutland, Vermont in 1968. She graduated from Woodsville, NH High School in 1985 and lives in Bethlehem, NH. She is married with two children. The first-born child, Luke, in 1992 and her second was Crystal in 1997. Her interests are working with children, four wheeling, snowmobiling and classic rock music. In 1997, King started a family childcare in her home. This made her want to further her education in early childhood. In 2000, she started college courses. She felt the need to educate children at a young age was very important. King felt that childcare providers set the foundation of early childhood experiences and education. She attended NH Community Technical College out of Berlin, NH. In 2003, she earned her special education certificate. From her experiences working with children, she wanted to be able to help each individual child’s needs. She found it very difficult to raise her family, operate a childcare and an apartment building and attend college, but she was determined to earn her degree. In 2005, she graduated with an associate’s degree.

She wrote this book as an assignment for children’s literature and language. She wanted to help children learn how to manage their anger. She works with children and understands how hard it can be for children get through situations that are not always fair. She states, “even as adults it is not always easy to control our anger. Children need role models and some kind off guidance.” She hopes this book will help guide children to a better understanding of how to handle situations instead of feeling helpless.
